Staff Privileges

Thank you for your interest in Leesburg Regional Medical Center. We would like to take this opportunity to tell you about our application process, should you wish to apply for membership/privileges at our facility.

Emergency Medicine, Anesthesia, Pathology & Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery are exclusive services available only through the groups contracted. No independent applications will be accepted. If you would like information on how to contact the above groups, please feel free to call.

The following are the minimum bylaw requirements that must be met to be eligible for Medical Staff Membership and/or privileges.

Your primary practice and legal residence must be within a 30 mile radius of the medical center.
You must be Board Certified, in the specialty you are requesting clinical privileges in, by a recognized board of the ABMS, AOA, ADA or ABPS. If not certified, the applicant must achieve certification within five (5) years of first becoming eligible.

Credentialing new applicants is a two step process at LRMC. The first step is preparation of the pre-application forms and returning them to the Medical Staff Office within two (2)weeks. After review for eligibility, an application will be mailed. The second step is submission of the actual application within 30 days. Verification of the application and its content could take up to 90 days. All requests for application must be processed through the Credentials Committee, Executive Committee and the Board of Trustees and/or their designees.
