Post Anesthesia Care Unit

 

The Post Anesthesia Care Unit is designed to care for patients of all ages receiving general, spinal or regional anesthesia on an inpatient or outpatient basis. The scope of services consists of those receiving elective, emergency or trauma surgery (excluding open heart and craniotomy), as well as diagnostic and other special procedures.

 

Care delivered consists of cardiac monitoring, ventilatory support, advanced cardiac support protocol, hemodynamic monitoring and continuous assessment.
