Cancer Care Services
If you’re facing a battle against cancer, you don’t have to travel far to receive innovative, comprehensive and compassionate care – Central Florida Health Alliance provides supportive and continuing services for our patients and their families.
We are affiliated with H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, which further enhances our delivery of cancer treatment services here in Central Florida.
The Alliance Cancer Care program is accredited by the American College of Surgeon’s Commission on Cancer, which may be earned by those programs that voluntarily commit to providing a comprehensive range of cancer services using a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care. Our team of physicians and staff meet frequently to discuss cases and coordinate care in order to provide the best treatment possible. In fact, Leesburg Regional Medical Center recently received a three-year extension with “commendation” of its accreditation.
Our Cancer Registry collects data and tracks every incidence of cancer diagnosed and/or treated at Leesburg Regional Medical Center. Our team is able to track important trends such as survival rates, types of treatments used and determine the most common types of cancer in our local communities.
