Surgical Units

Surgical Unit—Leesburg Regional Medical Center

This unit primarily serves pre- and post-operative patients, orthopedics, genitourinary and general surgery patients. All rooms are semi-private with showers available in each room.

Hours

24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Surgical Unit—The Villages Regional Hospital

This unit provides only inpatient services. Most surgical patients return to the unit following their surgical procedure. Staffing consists of the registered nurse who develops and updates each patient’s plan of care; a licensed practical nurse, nurse techs and certified nursing assistants.

Our surgical services at LRMC and TVRH include:

General surgery.
Vascular surgery.
Orthopedic surgery (except total joint replacements which are done at Leesburg Regional Medical Center).
Plastic surgery.
Gynecological (GYN) surgery.
Urologic surgery.
Podiatric surgery.
Endoscopy.
Bronchoscopy.
Ear, nose and throat surgery.
Ophthalmology (eye surgery).

Hours

Monday through Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. for all elective procedures. An after-hours on-call team handles emergency cases.
