Volunteering

Our purpose is to promote and advance the welfare of UF Health Leesburg Hospital. We do this through service to the hospital, patients and visitors as well as fundraising activities. Our auxiliary members function in many rewarding capacities at the hospitals through service in areas including: the gift shop, information desks, patient floors, emergency room, snack bar, waiting rooms and more.

To volunteer with us or to learn more, call us at 352.323.5060.

How do I get involved?

To volunteer, you will need to make a commitment of at least 4 hours per week, attend an orientation session and complete the training period.

Volunteer with No One Dies Alone (NODA)

The vision of a world in which every human being has another person near at the end of life is the inspiration behind the No One Dies Alone program. Our volunteers keep vigil with patients who are dying and have no others attending to them. If you have an interest in volunteering with this program, call 352.323.5020. A completed volunteer application and training module packet will be required as well as a background check and TB test.
