Virtual visit information

UF Health Leesburg Hospital’s Urgent Care Virtual Visit program can potentially provide care for the following conditions:

Eye and mouth problems

  • Pink eye
  • Stye
  • Canker or cold sore

Note – True eye pain should be evaluated in-person as should acute visual disturbances.

Respiratory infections and allergies

  • Influenza
  • Hay fever/allergies
  • Cold or sinus infection

Skin and nail problems

  • Shingles
  • Eczema
  • Shingles
  • Fungal infection (ringworm, jock itch, etc.)
  • Skin irritations (contact dermatitis)
  • Diaper rash
  • Acne
  • Athlete’s foot
  • Hand, foot and mouth disease
  • Other skin issues

Female infections

  • Female bladder infections
  • Vaginal yeast infections

Medication to prevent an illness or infection

  • Post-exposure to pertussis (whooping cough)
  • Influenza prevention if acutely exposed

Limited medicine refills

  • Short-term refills for out-of-area patients or local patients unable to secure an appointment with their primary care physician (evaluated on a case-by-case basis).

Travel medication

  • Motion sickness prevention
  • Malaria prevention

Abdominal problems

  • Mild abdominal pain not associated with a fever or vomiting
  • Constipation and/or diarrhea possibly
  • Heartburn or acid reflux

Bony, joint and soft tissue concerns

  • Focal bony, joint or soft tissue pains not associated with a high fever, acute trauma or a sudden onset (ongoing pain in the bottom of the foot, ongoing elbow pain, etc.)

Head and neck issues

  • Headaches not associated with acute trauma, fever, focal tingling, numbness or loss of function, or visual disturbances

Other requests

  • Other requests or consultations will be evaluated and addressed individually.
  • Please note that not all medical conditions can be safely or effectively evaluated and treated using a virtual platform.
